This Passage begins by addressing those who do business on the sea and the daunting challenges they face. Read Psalms 107:25-27 and find out the problems that confront them. They cried to God and He delivered them.
God is love and He manifests it in nature and in all His actions. His love is steadfast and great. Read the passage again and note the areas God demonstrates His mercy and His unchanging love to His people.
Is God not doing the same thing to us today? Granting journey mercies, answers to prayers, deliverance (Psalms 107:23-30), restoring (feeding) the “hungry” (Psalms 107:36) and caring for the “needy” (Psalms 107:41). For all these blessings, what were the people expected to do in Psalms 107:31-32?
Today is the second Monday in the year. Let us count our blessings and name them one by one. It was the hymn writer, Johnson Oatman, who wrote, “When upon life’s billow you are tempest tossed. When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost. Count your many blessings name them one by one. And it will surprise you what the Lord has done.”
God’s steadfast love includes His wonderful promises. See these in Psalms 107:38,41 and trust God to fulfil the same in your life.
